Clear Scraps Project Post

Good morning crafty people, Leah here with you this morning to host the blog. I have several new items I use on the layout I am about to show you.

We will be working with the XL Acrylic Scallop Clear shape, Heart Border, 6" Mascil Fans, and the small Rectangle Deco Clear Acrylic Frame to create the Snow board layout.

The white behind the layout is just to show the edges of the layout as well as the see through quality, and is not a part of it. I still am amazed every time I work with Clear Scraps Acrylic, how truly crystal clear it is once you remove the protective film.

To create this layout, I layed down the Mascil and willy nilly painted in the fans with acrylic paint. I thought it was a nice way to imagine snow slopes. 🙂

Next up, I painted alcohol ink on top of the heart border, and used the shattered glass mascil to create some texture on the border as well. I cut the border in half so I could use it in two places on my layout.

I also create my own pattern paper using Liquitex glossy gel and the 6" Brick Wall Mascil. While it was still went I spritzed it with pink and blue mists.

To highlight one of the photos, I applied alcohol ink on the rectangle deco frame, then adhered right on top of the photo. I didn't trim it or anything, although you can! I then adhered some beads and bling to the frame to pretty it up even more.
