Have you seen the new acrylic frames from Clear Scraps?
They
are called "Cleary Framed", they come in several sizes
and this one
is a called medium circle deco frame.
Oh, you didn't know that was acrylic?
Well it is!!!
First I covered it with gesso, when it was completely dry I
colored on top
with Gelatos. I spread the color around with a dry sponge
then made specks by wetting a paintbrush
and flicking the Gelato with
the frame in the background. I used PITT Artist pens to draw lines after
the splatter was dry. Then added "sand" (Viva's stone art effects) to my
project with a palette knife and let dry.
Here is a close up! If you look closely you can see I left
some
of the areas clear.
I will definitely use this technique again!
