Hey Clear Scraps fans, Michelle W. here to share with you a wall hanging I made with Clear Scraps Expressions LIVE and the 6" Quarterfoil Mascil/Stencil.
Keep reading to see how I created this unique wall hanging so you can make your own.
I started by staining my unfinished wood pieces with a Distress Stain. Set aside and and start on the Clear Scraps Expressions piece.
Remove the film from the front of the Large Expressions LIVE. Next lay the 6" Quarterfoil stencil over the acrylic. Using a sponge and acrylic paint gently dab over the stencil with acrylic paint.
You will only be able to do a portion of the word at at time. Gently lift the stencil and carefully align it with the spot where the first portion ended. I used a bit of artists tape to hold the stencil in place. Gently dap the remainder with the acrylic paint using the sponge. While the paint is still wet, add a little shimmer by sprinkling fine glitter over the entire piece.
Once the paint is dry, flip the piece over and remove the film from the back. Use a quick dry glue and put spots of glue all over the piece so that the glue is hidden behind the paint. If you are like me, you'll want to play with the placement of everything before glueing it all down. Once you attach the Clear Scraps piece to the piece of wood add the rest of your embellishments.
Once everything is attached to the main piece I attached the hanging flower pieces with a strand of beads that act similar to ribbon. I hope you enjoy this project as much as I enjoyed making it.
