Hi there, Lisa here today to share a layout I created using our Banner Embellishments as well as a Butterfly. Love of Butterflies is one thing my oldest and youngest daughters share so I always include them on their pages. This one is of the moment my youngest saw her sister had come to get her from school the first day after she returned from college. She ran to her and broke into happy tears of joy to see her!! I tucked the story into the pink bag that is my photo mat.
To create my layout, I ran the banner pieces through my Epic 6 and embossed a brick pattern on them before hitting them with some Staz-On ink.
I love the way embossing them makes them curl just a tad so that they now pop off the page. I was able to hide a pop dot under each of them by layering the "sweet" banner over them. I then double stamped the butterfly, first with a woodgrain stamp, then with "some kind of wonderful" and tucked it in to mirror the die cut butterfly on the right of my layout.
The Clear Scraps Banner pieces and Butterfly adds a little more dimension without taking visual weight away from the photos…I LOVE that!!! Hope you all are finding time to craft in this busy end of the school year time!
