Birthday Hat Gift

Hi there, Lisa here today to bring you one of my favorite ways to use the Large Chipboard Banner.  These days, it's pretty rare to actually select a gift for a birthday present.  Most of the time, the kids would rather have a gift card and be able to really select what they'd like for themselves.  I don't normally like to give a gift card as I feel it's sort of a let down but not with this cute gift card holder!  This is one card that won't get thrown away!

I selected my favorite Heidi Swapp papers and embellishments for this card and simply traced the banner piece to the back of the papers, cut them out, glued them on with glue stick and sanded the edges a bit for a perfect fit.

I did the same for the backside and used a little premade envelope to hold the gift card securely onto the card. I used a light color paper for the backside so that a message could be written directly onto the card.

And because I liked making this so much I decided to make another one!

I just know the kids will love to recieve this gift card holder and it was really fun to make.  I can see creating them custom for many different occasions, too! Thanks for stopping by today!
