Layout with Feathers Layering Stencil

Hello! It's Jennifer and I'm happy to share with you a layout I created with one of the new Clear Scraps products! Its like a kid on Christmas when CHA rolls around and we get to see what Susan and Jim have designed for us to work with!  Every release I am amazed and this year is no exception!  The layering stencils are ingenious and so fun to use!

One of the stencils I received was the 5×9 Feathers Layering Stencil  which is one of my favorites!  The stencils are easy to use; it just takes a little planning and patience.

I knew I wanted to use modeling paste as my base, so I used washi tape to secure my stencil to my cardstock background.  While allowing the modeling paste to dry, I cleaned off my stencil and dried.

Once my modeling paste was thoroughly dry, I got out my Gelatos  and used a wet brush (and my finger) to color in the details of the feathers.

And here is the final result! Is it perfect? No..but I know in time and some practice I will get the hang of it 🙂
