Hello! I cannot believe its February already! That does mean another round of tags from our design team! I have to admit that I love Valentine themed paper and embellishments! :) So today I'm sharing my tag of the month!
Did you know you can use spray paint on your acrylic? Many of our designers love to utilize their favorite colors of spray paint on their tags or other Clear Scraps projects! Here, I used gold foil spray; it takes one coat and goes on beautifully!
While allowing my tag to dry, I painted the Flourish Heart Chipboard Embellishment with white acrylic paint.
Once my paint was dry, I applied clear embossing ink, red glitter embossing powder and used my heat gun to set.
Before adding my papers and embellishment to my tag, I wanted to add a background. At first I thought about using modeling paste but then remembered that I had the coordinating stamp set to the paper line I was using! StazOn inks are highly recommended to use on acrylic because they are fast drying. I used my black StazOn with two of the sentiments and did some random stamping on my tag (opposite of what side I applied my paint).
Now I was ready to start adding papers and my embellishments! I love to layer so sometimes its just a matter of experimenting to see what looks good! If a more simple look is your style that's ok…there is no wrong way to create!
Here is a close up of the embossed chipboard! I had a bit of tough time with my embossing ink and had to go back and re-do some spots. Overall, I love how it turned out!
Also, showing the close up of the stamping; I think the black and gold gives some contrast to the reds and pinks!
Thanks for stopping by today! I hope this inspires you to do some creating of your own with Clear Scraps acrylic! Sometimes we can be surprised by what we come up with! Have a wonderful day!
