Hello my lovely Clear Scraps friends, it is Pinky today and this is my newest project to share a fun stenciled XO Shaker and I have a tutorial too!
So this adorable butterfly in the background is the NEW Release 6" Swallowtail Butterfly Mascil/Stencil.
Here is how I created this Shaker: I took the chipboard base in the Shaker package and painted it a Pistachio Green.
ThenI took Heavy Gesso and 3 colors of regular acrylic paint, and mixed each one into small dabs, creating 3 soft colors.
After that I used the new 6" Swallowtail Butterfly Mascil/Stencil and used all 3 colors of the created Gesso to create the butterfly in the center of the base. I light sprinkled with translucent glitter andphook off the excess and set it aside to dry. I also took the top chipboard ring and coated it in the colored Gesso, and sprinkled with glitter as well.
Then I took the acrylic top after I removed the protective film from the top, I used the 6" XOXO Mascil/Stencil using the leftover pink Gesso I created I put one XO onto the front as shown.
I set that aside to dry as well then adhered the two layers of chipboard to the base, using Beacon Zip Dry.
I then added the Lovely Sequins from the Clear Scraps store, removed the protective film from the bottom of acrylic top. and adhere it to the top of the chipboard.
I filed off the excess Gesso on the cover chipboard ring, then adhered it to the top of the acrylic.
I painted the sides using PINK and it's done!
These Shakers are adorable to create.
Which shape if your favorite?
Here's hoping you have a beautiful crafty day friends,
