Well hello again Clear Scraps friends and family, it's just me Pinky today! Have you seen the new 3X12 Stencils? You need to check them out, they are so fun for home decor.
For this project I had an old chalkboard I had use for some photography I did, and it was just laying there so I decided it was the perfect frame to use the NEW Blessings 3X12 stencil/template for some home decor. So I mixed some paint with good old Gesso, and created a soft robin egg blue, then I stenciled it onto the middle of the chalkboard.
Because I wanted to take advantage of the chalkboard look I used my acrylic paints and a sponge paired with the 6" Monarch Butterfly Stencil and sponged on paint lightly so it looks like chalk.
Then I actually used my fingers to go around the edges with paint as well, yes it was messy but I am always mess while crafting so I just washed up afterwords.
I had some spring themed papers left so I trimmed out the "For you" and the "Spring" and added those after allowing everything to dry. Then I used a Viva Decor Pearl Pen to add the flutters for the butterflies. I can't wait to hand it over to my friend, I think she will just love it!
Check out all the cool stencils Clear Scraps has, they are so much fun to play with.
Happy Crafty Day friends, I hope you enjoyed the project today.
