Clear Scraps Project Post

Hi, Connie here with a patriotic journal using the USA chipboard piece by Clear Scraps.  Clear Scraps makes many shapes and designs in chipboard and this one is a favorite of mine.  I wanted to create  something really special with it. Something you would want to keep, so a journal was created showcasing  the USA chipboard.  Take a look~

Zip Dry by Beacon was used to secure the pattern paper to the composition notebook front. Stencils by Clear Scraps were used to create a fun and messy background for the USA chipboard piece.  Layers of pattern paper were added as well.  

The USA chipboard piece is painted with red and navy acrylic paint.  A star punch was used, to create the three stars, on the USA shape.  Dimensional adhesive was used to adhere the USA shape to the front of the journal.  

The 6" chevron and the 6" star stencil, used with black archival ink, to create the background for the journal.  The stencils were randomly placed on the journal and stenciled in sections.  Just a little here and a little there, using a small section of the stencil at a time.  Simple to do with great results!
