Coffee cards

Hi, Connie here with a couple of coffee cards using the Cup Overflow Border stencil by Clear Scraps.   The 6" Holly stencil was used also but could easily be switched out for a Spring time leaf.

To create the background for the cards, S.E.I. Tumble Dye was sprayed on watercolor paper.  Any spray paint, mist product will work to make a space for the coffee cup to be stenciled in the middle using modeling paste.

Tape the stencil down so you get a clean image when scrapping the modeling paste over the stencil.  I use a pallet knife but an old credit card works well too.

At the corner of the cup use the 6" Holly or the 6" Twig Leaves to place a leaf and then use buttons to create a little flower embellishment.   Stamp sentiment out and add twine.

The sentiment tag was created to resemble a hand stitched tag
(like what is in the back of a shirt).

So easy to change up the color combos and have bright colorful cards.

The completed cards were splattered with black acrylic paint, using a tooth brush.  So easy to direct the splatter!!!
