Our Story XL Birch Wood Frame

Hi there!  Jennifer here today to share a tutorial on the Our Story XL Birch Wood Frame! The Wood Frames were released this past January and have been a huge hit! I  have loved working with them and hope you have had a chance to do so as well! The Frames make great home decor pieces or gifts!

My favorite medium to use on the wood is chalk paint!  Here, I  chose a nice grey color for the letters as well as outside edges of the frames.  Using my 6 Inch Wood Grain Mascil,  I  lightly applied white chalk paint to the surface.  Below is a video tutorial of my process!

I  adhered patterned paper to the frame portions with my Beacon 3-in-1 Adhesive.  I  then used my x-acto knife and sanding tool to remove any excess paper.  I    did not worry about having my edges be perfectly smooth as I  wanted a bit of a distressed look.

Next, I  added pieces of die cuts, chipboard, and stickers to accent the edges as well as my journaling.
