Hello and happy Monday friends! It's Jennifer and I'm sharing a project I created with the Succulent Wood Card! This is one of twelve designs available in the Clear Scraps shop! Succulents are a hot trend right now and this is one of my favorite Wood Cards!
I used one of my favorite patterns to back the negative space of the succulent to show through as well as added a small heart sticker.
I used two colors of chalk paint on the front of my Wood Card: patina and white. After allowing my paint to dry, I adhered patterned paper, stickers, and flowers from Mon Ami Gabby. I have a short You Tube video to share the technique I used on my card.
I had originally wanted to insert note cards to the inside, but it ended up being more of a mini album type project. I cut white cardstock and added embellishments.
I utilized the 3×4 journaling cards and embellished them to add extra pages to my book.
Here, I used a scalloped border punch on the edge of my page which adds some extra flair! I then clustered embellishments at the lower right corner of the page.
I created a pocket from both patterned paper and white cardstock and inserted a 3×4 journaling card. After completing my pages, I used black and white bakers twine to tie my pages together. You can also use ribbon or chrome book rings as well!
Thank you for stopping by! Check out the selection of Wood Cards in the Clear Scraps shop including the two new designs: Paws and Mouse!
Have a great day!
