Hello! Jennifer back to share another project I created using the October Q 2018 Kit! This kit was so fun to work with and I am loving the new wood products! One of the new releases is the Angel Mini Pallet Shape! I wanted to make an ornament to hang on my tree this year!
Instead of painting, I decided to cover my Angel with the patterned paper from the 6×6 Authentique Nostalgia paper pad. Using a ruler, I measured the height of each section. I then cut the pattern I wanted to use and adhered with liquid adhesive.
I followed the same steps for the middle section.
For the top section, I simply used a larger piece of paper that I knew would cover the entire piece.
Turning the pallet over, I used my x-acto knife to cut away any excess paper.
Next, I used my sanding tool to smooth the edges.
Lastly, I applied distress chalk in to the edges of the pallet (the chalk ink is from my own stash).
I used a Crop-o-dile to punch holes at the top of the "wings" to thread bakers twine through. I also adorned the front with cut files from Silhouette using a gold foil cardstock I found at Michaels. I then added enamel dots and a cork star from my own stash.
Thank you for stopping by! Visit the Clear Scraps shop for details to order your own October Kit! Have a great day!
