Hello Everyone! Laura here to share some creative inspiration with you today!
Hope you are as excited as I am, for the holidays and all the holiday crafting to come!
Clear Scraps has some amazing home decor pieces to get you started!
This Halloween decor project uses their new Picket Fence DIY Wooden Pallet.
This project started with the blank Clear Scraps DIY Wooden Pallet Shape.
First step was to paint the cross pieces of the pallet with black acrylic paint.
After it was dry, I used orange paint on a stamp,
to add some texture and interest to the cross pieces.
Next up, was to cover the rest of the bare wood with paper.
Super simple…..just measure and cut the rectangular pieces to fit.
I inked up the edges before gluing them down with Beacon Adhesive.
For the pointed tops of the fence, I measured the length, inked and
glued down, then I went back and trimmed the excess.
I did not paint the back of my project because of how I'll display it,
but it would be easy enough, of course.
The best part of these pieces….you can always make the project entirely your own!
To add a little fun, I also used one of the Clear Scraps Chipboard Words:
The word "Spooky" is from this collection.
Perfect embellishment to add to your home decor (or other!) projects.
It's a nice strong chipboard, and it paints up great!
I used the black acrylic paint first, then when it was partially dry, brushed on
some of the orange paint to create the cool 2 toned look. Here's a closer peek:
