Hi there everyone! Laura here with you today,
to share some sunshine and a scrapbook layout created on
one of Clear Scraps awesome 12×12 Acrylic Sheets!
To start creating this LO, I removed the protective film
on the side I'd be working on, and left the film on
the other side, to keep it protected until the project
was completely finished. Then I used an acrylic
paint dauber to brush a border around each edge
of the 12×12 Acrylic Sheet.
I was going for the idea of a child's
finger painting, or something similar, to make
a more whimsical looking frame around the page,
since I was creating a baby picture layout.
Next I grabbed the Clear Scraps 6" Fruit of the Spirit stencil.
I love this stencil because you can use it for individual
words, or you could use it as a background as well.
It's great to have a crafty tool that is so versatile!
Don't be afraid to give the stencils a try too,
there are so many to choose from in the
Clear Scraps store! They come in all different sizes
and patterns! You can find them in the store HERE.
For this LO, I took the stencil, and using a white
paint dauber to give a good contrast to the pink,
I alternated the words from this stencil,
applying them all around the brushed on border.
The paint dauber really makes it easy to
stencil by applying just the right amount of
paint. Great little tip for anyone that is stencil
challenged like me….haha!
Here's a little more of a close up of the
brushed and stenciled border:
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
If you haven't tried stencils yet, give them a try!
If I can do it, anyone can!
