Wooden Baby Banner with Clear Scraps & Stampendous

Hi everyone!  It's Annie, and today I'm sharing a cute wooden banner that's perfect for baby showers or birthday parties or even to hang in your little one's nursery.  The banners from Clear Scraps can be customized in tons of ways, and I chose to paint and embellish mine with some adorable stamped images from Stampendous.

I started by painting my wooden banner shapes with purple and pink acrylic paint, alternating colors between each pennant.  Once dry, I laid the Wild Texture Rubber Stamp face up on my work surface, applied white acrylic paint to it using a sponge brush, and pressed each pennant on top to give it tons of wild texture.

After stringing the pennants on some white organza ribbon, I started to embellish the banner.  First, I cut letters to spell out the name in gold glitter cardstock using my electronic cutting machine and adhered them to the pennants using strong liquid adhesive.

Next, I stamped the leaf and elephant images from the Elephant Rubber Stamp Set onto white cardstock and colored them in soft colors with Copic markers.

After cutting the images out using the coordinating dies, I adhered them to my pennants using foam adhesive. An elephant was placed at each end of the banner while a set of leaves was adhered just under the ribbon on each pennant.

I hope you enjoyed this cute wooden banner project and thanks so much for stopping by today.  How would you customize the banner shapes for your next party?
