Travel Wide Scallop Acrylic Album

Hello! It's Jennifer on the blog to share a mini album I  created with one of the new acrylic albums! It's almost summer here in the US and that means many will be taking time out for vacations!  Using the Acrylic 3×8 Wide Scallop Album, I  created this fun  mini to place in photos for our upcoming trip!  There are six total pages that are arranged in a waterfall fashion and are the perfect size for wallet photos!

Before putting together my album, I  removed the protective film on both sides from each page.  Then using StazOn Opaque, I  used a dabber to apply ink to the edges. This gives the acrylic a nice frosted look and helps set apart each page.

For most of my mini albums, I  reserve the inside cover for journaling.  Here, I  layered two of the die cuts and secured with a staple before adhering to my page.

Each page increases in size but the height is no more than 3.5 inches!  I  used white cardstock in place of my photos and usually layer an additional print underneath.  I  also used pop dots to affix the border die cut at the bottom edge of my page. I  then used bakers twine to tie around the outer edge.

For this page, I  cut my piece 3.5 x 8 inches and scored at 5 inches. That way I  could add a flap to add additional photos/embellishments.   You can also place a photo on the outer cover if you wish; however I  added more embellishments.

Here is the inside of the flap! I  adhered a 2×3 place for my photo and plan on adding additional mourning on the inside flap.

When you are working on a smaller scale, sometimes using a border punch can go a long way on your page as well as adding smaller die cuts/stickers.

For this page, I  fabricated a pocket by adhering on three sides of my paper.  Then using a circle scallop punch, I  folded each in half and stapled to my cardstock. You can add photos or again, additional journaling in this area.
