Shabby Mini Owl Shaker

Hello Everyone and welcome to this weeks project.  This week I wanted to pay tribute to my Grandmother.  She loved owls, so I decided to shabby up this super cute Mini Owl Shaker.  I think it turned out super cute!!

First thing I did was glued some pattern paper to the bottom piece of the shaker.  I had this beautiful rose paper in my stash and thought it would be the perfect background for this owl.  I glued all my layers together before gluing the acetate sheet and the top layer.  I added some shaker mixture that I had.

I left on the top layer of film covering on the acetate to give it a frosted look.  I love the effect it gave it.

I then inked around the edge of the owl with distress ink.  To finish it off I added several flowers from my stash.  I know my Grandmother would love this little owl.

I also love that fact that this little guy can stand up.  I can display this on my desk and each time I look at it I know my Grandmother is with me.
