Clear Scraps Project Post

Hi everyone!

I know its October, and I should be doing something for Halloween or Fall,

but today's project is in honor of my father in-law who was a WWII Vet.

He served in the army and was deployed to Germany. 

He saw alot of fighting while he was there.

So I have created this for my husband in honor of his dad.

I have used the Mini Pallet Star for my project today.

I started out by painting the star red, whit and blue.  I needed to give it 2 coats of each color.

I wanted it to be very bold.

I used a few other pieces from my stash that I also painted.

The little star has iridescent glitter on it for some sparkle.

Once everything dried, I adhered the letters and small star to my mini pallet.

I wanted to make sure that this caught everyone's eye when they see it.

Hanging from the mini pallet, which I just draped over the top of the star

are my father in-laws dog tags.

I will be displaying this in my husbands office.  This way when he looks at it he can remember

how great of a man his dad was.
