Hello! November is the month reserved for gratitude and thanksgiving as well as the wind down of autumn. For my project, I wanted to document a favorite fall photo along with tying in the beautiful colors. And I'm going to show you the techniques I used!
I began with the Rectangle 12×10 Medium DIY Pallet Shape as my base. I applied a light coat of chalk paint in Sheepskin allowing some of the bare wood to show through.
Once my paint was dry (which does not take very long at all), I secured the 12 Inch Twig Leaves Mascil over the top of my pallet. I used three coordinating Distress Oxide Inks blending and intermixing the colors.
Here is a close up of the end result! I just love how it turned out! The wood accepts the ink very easily without smudging.
I used the new Circle Dots Chipboard Embellishment Shape as an accent to my title and photo. I simply applied two coats of dark brown acrylic paint to the surface. I had wanted to add sparkle embossing powder to the paint but it made the chipboard look purple. Not the result I was wanting.
I finished by punching holes at the top of the pallet to string fall colored ribbon for hanging my project. Thank you for stopping by the blog today! You can find all of these products and much more by visiting the Clear Scraps shop! Have a great day!
