Outdoor Address Pallet Sign

Happy Friday Clear Scraps family! Today I'm sharing my super cute Outdoor Address Pallet Sign using Clear Scraps Farmhouse Home Sweet Home Stencil,  Numbers 2.5 x 4" stencil & the amazing House DIY Pallet Shape.

Please excuse the chalk on the brick behind my sign, I have some scrubbing to do in my future. 😉

I started by lightly sanding the wood with 220 grit sandpaper. Just enough to make it smooth then wiped away the dusty residue. I then used this water-based Wax stain in white just to give it a bit of color. I love it because you still have all the wood grain detail showing.

I let it dry a half hour and then came back to arrange my stencils.

Once I had the stencils placed where I liked them, I used washi tape to hold the stencils in place.
I then used an old makeup sponge and lightly pounced chalk paint on the stencils.

I peeled up the stencils while the paint was still wet, and ran to the sink to clean the stencils. Once the stenciling is dry I used Thickers to add in our name and the other 'home' to the pallet sign.

I sealed the sign with Rustoleum Matte Clear Enamel Spray to help protect it from the elements.
I then hot glued some twine to the chimney and flowers to draw attention to the house number.

I should have taken a photo from the street, because this shows up perfectly from the mailbox, plus it's unique. So fun!

Have a wonderful weekend!!
