Clear Scraps Project Post

Hi everyone!  Laura here with you today, and I hope

you are having a wonderful November!  With all of the

early cold and snow here in the Midwest, it feels like

Christmas is already in the air!  Do you make gifts,

home decor and ornaments for the holidays?

I've got a pretty ornament to share with you today

that you can make for your tree, or as a gift!

Clear Scraps has so many shaker shapes you can use to create

cards, ornaments, you name it!  Only limit is your imagination!

in the store HERE. For this ornament, I used the Circle Shaker.

The top frame is painted black, and I used a cute snowflake

pattern pretty paper on the base layer.  Just trace it onto your

paper of choice, cut it out, and glue to the base piece….easy peasy!

I added the Clear Scraps Winter Sequin mix to the shaker, then

glued all the pieces together.  But what is that piece on the top?

The ornament that is glued to the top of the shaker is the

Clear Scraps X-mas Swirl Bulb Chipboard Embellishment.

It's painted with red and gray acrylic paint, then after it

dried I went over the surface with a glitter glue to give it

some sparkle.  A twine bow is a cute finishing touch, then

it's glued to the front surface of the shaker.  I could have

left the back plain, but, I love to decorate so I added

a little simple Santa scene to the back of the ornament.

Just a couple of stickers, some foam tape and a few enamel dots.

And to create the hanger for the ornament, I glued twine around the

edge of the ornament leaving extra so I could knot it at the top

and create a loop to use as a hanger.
