Hi there everybody! Who's ready for winter?
Laura here with you today, and I am definitely NOT…haha!
But I am ready for some winter crafting time, and that's
where this adorable home decor tag project comes in.
How fun is this Rounded Jumbo Wood Tag from
Clear Scraps? They have a scalloped version too,
you can find that one in the store HERE.
I am in love with these new Jumbo Wood Tags!
They are a blank slate for you to create anything
your heart desires! So many ideas, so many options!
The Mini Shaker Snowflake from Clear Scraps was a
perfect addition as an embellishment on this tag.
I painted it white, traced the circle on paper to cover
the inside, and glued it all together with the gorgeous
Winter Collection Sequins from Clear Scraps inside.
A little Stickles on the top of the snowflake gives it a
nice shimmer in addition to the sequins.
Now where did those white snowflakes on the
background of the tag come from?
After I painted the tag with gray paint and it dried,
I took one of the acrylic snowflake shapes from the
Clear Scraps Mini Snowflake Acrylic Mini Album and
used it as a reverse stencil of sorts, sponging white
acrylic paint around the shape to create the snowflakes.
Best yet, I did not peel off the protective sheet on the
snowflake, so it's good to use for another project, just
peel the coating (and paint) away when I want to use
it later. I love when a product can do double duty!
To decorate the bottom of the tag, I used scraps of
pretty patterned paper, a few stickers and twine.
It finishes off a super adorable project that will
make a nice addition to my winter home decor!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
Stop back soon for more inspiration!
