Quick and Easy Pallet Ornaments

Quick and Easy Pallet Ornaments by Annie Williams for Clear Scraps - Main

We're down to the wire folks…Christmas is tomorrow and hopefully you aren't scrambling for last-minute gifts or cards.  Merry Christmas Eve!  It's Annie, and today I wanted to share a super simple gift project that you can make last minute for those neighbors, friends, or co-workers you may have accidentally overlooked.  Using some of the Mini Wood Pallets from Clear Scraps, I created a couple of easy ornaments that can also serve as a unique gift tag.

I started by painting the Snowman Mini Pallet Shape with white pearl and black satin acrylic paint and the Stocking Mini Pallet Shape with red satin and white pearl acrylic paint.  My painting was very simple with no shading or highlights (I just made sure to keep my lines neat).  While the white pearl paint was still very wet, I sprinkled chunky iridescent glitter flakes all over the snowman body and the stocking cuff for a little quick embellishment.  Then I set my pieces aside to dry completely for a couple of hours.

I personalized the ornaments by cutting out names from gold foil sticker paper using an electronic die-cutting machine and pressing them onto areas where there was no glitter.  If you don't have an electronic cutter, you could also stamp names in gold pigment ink using alphabet stamps.  To turn the mini pallet shapes into ornaments or tags, I tied off a short loop of gold twine and adhered it to the back of each with a dollop of hot glue.

I hope you enjoyed this quick and easy ornament idea and thanks so much for stopping by today.  Are you ready for the big day tomorrow?
