Easter Gifts with Clear Scraps

Hi friends! Happy Monday! Hope everyone is staying safe and healthy!  Easter is this week and I'm sharing two candy holders I created with some new Clear Scraps products. And I'm going to show you the techniques I  used!

First up, I  used the Bunny Mini Shaker Shape to decorate this kraft gift bag! It's perfect to accent any Easter or spring themed project you have in mind!

I   painted the top frame of the shaker with chalk paint in pink. I  also ensured that I  painted the inside and outside edges of this and the 2nd and 3rd frames.

Next, I  applied embossing ink to the surface of my top frame followed by heat setting sparkle pink embossing powder.

I  took the bottom chipboard base and my Beacon 3-in-1 adhesive and adhered patterned paper to the front.

Taking my x-acto knife, I  trimmed the excess paper away as well as used sanding paper to smooth any edges.

Again using my Beacon, I  adhered the 2nd and 2rd frames to the chipboard base.

I  was now ready to add my sequins! It is a good idea to use an embossing pouch to remove any static electricity before hand.  Here, I  used Clear Scraps Spring Sequins pack which matched perfectly! After, I  adhered my acrylic piece followed by the top frame.

To add some color to my kraft bag, I  used the Plaid 4×6 Stencil with Distress Inks to the front.

I  finished my shaker by adding bakers twine and a paper flower to accent. I  then adhered with pop dots to the front of my bag.

I  had this small canvas bag in my stash and thought it would be perfect to decorate for candy!

Using the grass portion of the Grass/Butterfly Layering Stencil, I  applied green at the bottom of my bag.

I  then used pink distress ink to color the butterflies in the same stencil.

And here is the end result! You can go as light or dark as you like!

I   painted the Basket Chipboard Embellishment Shape with acrylic paint in white.

I  then applied embossing ink to the bottom portion of the basket followed by sparkle light blue embossing powder.

Here is the result of the embossing powder! I  did use sand paper to rough up the edges to give it a distressed look.  Using my Beacon, I  adhered the basket to my bag followed by affixing ribbon and a paper flower.
