House DIY Wood Shapes

Hello! It's Jennifer here on the blog to share a mini album I created using the new House Wood DIY Shapes! You receive three shapes in each package where you can use a single shape or all three to create your project! After layouts, mini albums are one of my favorite to create so that's what I  chose!  I  thought the house shape would be perfect to showcase some favorite photos of my family!

I  covered each page with patterned paper using my  Beacon 3-in-1 Adhesive and sanding the edges. To create contrast, I  applied a light coat of white acrylic paint around the edges of each page.

The bottom portion of the page is large enough to fit a horizontal 4×6 photo. I   almost always mat my pictures onto white cardstock and back with another patterned paper.

The birch wood is sturdy yet easy to use a Crop o Dile or Big Bite to place holes for your book rings (you can also thread your pages using ribbon or jute).

I  like to add extras in my books such as envelopes or small acrylic pages. Here, I  had a kraft envelope in my stash that I  used for extra embellishments and journaling.  You can also add photos or place mementos into the envelope.

Besides covering with patterned paper, you can ink, paint, or stamp onto the birch wood.  The Clear Scraps stencils work great with the wood products as well!
