Flip Flops Mini Shaker Album

Hello friends! Hope this finds you well!  We are in the full swing of summer! And though things may look different this year we are still creating fun, family memories!  One of the first things I  fell in love with were the Clear Scraps mini albums!  After layouts, mini books are my favorite to create!  So today I'm sharing the 6×6 Chipboard 3 Tabbed Album featuring the Flip Flops Mini Shaker Shape

The Chipboard Album consists of 5 pages large enough for standard sized photos (4×6) or if you want to do an Instagram album, it is perfect for that as well! I  made space for 4×4 and 3×5 photos as I  usually trim my pictures to mat onto white cardstock.

Before decorating my album, I  used white acrylic paint to cover the inside half inch of each page (both sides). You will find that the paint will dry quickly on the chipboard since it is good quality so you will not need a lot.  I  also used the same acrylic paint to color the top frame of my Flip Flops Shaker.

Each page I  covered with patterned paper cutting to approximately 5.75 x 5.75 inches. I  did corner round the outside edges as well.

As you can see, I  like to incorporate a lot of different patterns as well as layer embellishments around my photos.  I   love to use small accents such as stickers or enamel dots.

Each tab on the chipboard page I placed a sticker from the paper collection I  used. They seemed to fit perfectly in the space!

Allowing die cuts or stickers to "hang off" the edges of your page is a fun technique to use as well. Here, I  added a tag at the top of my page placing it so the top overreaches the edge of the page. I  then added some red and white bakers twine to accent.

It's difficult to tell in this photo but here I  utilized pop dots to give dimension to my photo itself.  I  then added embellishments around again using pop dots/foam tape as needed.  Anyone who has craft with me knows I'm a big fan of pop dots! LOL

I   love adding small sentiments over the edges of my photo if space allows.
