Hello and happy Saturday! It's Jennifer here to share a layout I created using one of the Mini Shaker Shapes! They make for great accents to your pages or to the front of a mini album! Really any project! Today's project features the Camera Mini Shaker Shape and I'm going to share what techniques I used.
I began with a 12×12 piece of white cardstock as my background. Using the 12 Inch Spiral Mascil, I lightly spritzed two coordinating spray inks to my cardstock. The Mascils are wonderful to use with any medium from paint, gesso, or ink. I then lightly blotted the cardstock with a paper towel to soak up any extra ink.
I set that aside to assemble my Camera Mini Shaker. I used black color shift paint on the top chipboard frame as well as the edges of the two inside frames.
I adhered a patterned paper the chipboard base of the camera using Beacon 3-in-1 Adhesive. Next, I cut away excess paper with scissors and an x-acto knife followed by using sanding paper to smooth any rough edges.
I adhered my two chipboard frames together and affixed to the chipboard base. I then added sequins and glued on the acrylic overlay. Lastly, I adhered the painted chipboard frame over the top.
Here is the end result of the Camera Mini Shaker! I love how it turned out! I adhered it to my page again using my Beacon 3-in-1 Adhesive.
I used die cuts and stickers to accent my photo as well as added a journaling spot.
Here, you can see a close up of the spray inks with the Mascil! I love the pink and the yellow together as I was going for a sun burst effect!
