Hello friends! It's Jennifer here today to share a fall themed home decor project I created using the Pumpkin Medium DIY Pallet Shape! This is one of my favorite times of the year and even more so I love creating fall projects!
I began by painting my pallet with orange chalk paint. Most paints will work with the birch wood but chalk paint dries quickly. Next, using the 12 Inch Twig Leaves Mascil, I applied a thin layer of modeling paste to the top and bottom slats of the pallet. I allowed the paste to dry thoroughly as well as washed my Mascil. I then blended three colors of Distress Oxide Inks to the modeling paste again using my Twig Leaves Mascil as guidance.
And here is a close up of the end result! I did use sand paper to go over the top to give it a more distressed look.
As an accent, I added the Mason Jar Chipboard Embellishment Shapes to the right of my photo. I painted the chipboard with black chalk in and inserted a saying from a cut-a-part from the collection I used.
I also wanted to add flowers to the top of my Mason Jar but the ones I had didn't quite match. I used orange and green spray inks to color my paper flowers and allowed ample time for drying.
I adhered my flowers using my Beacon 3-in-1 Adhesive layering them to look as if they are coming out of the jar. I also added some bakers twine to accent.
Thank you for stopping by the blog today! Hope this inspires you to do some fall crafting with Clear Scraps! See the DIY Pallet Shapes by going HERE! Have a great day!
