Hello crafty friends and happy October! It's Maya here on the blog today sharing a wood house home decor featuring the Wood House Shape and the Journey Chipboard Word Title. This past May we took a trip to Upstate New York and stayed at a cabin, and this is my favorite photo from the trip. I thought the house wood shape will be a perfect background for a family photo. And yes, I absolutely love how the project turned out!
Below are the process pictures of how I created this project and this is the house wood shape pack that contains 3 pieces.
First, I traced the house shape to two papers I chose for the front and the back, and cut them out.

Then I applied some tacky glue on the wood and used foam brush to blend it. (Remember to wash and clean the brush right after use!)

Next, I started to lay the photo, the journey chipboard, and the embellishments from the kit in different ways and figured out this way is my favorite.

For the journey chipboard, I decided to give it a coat of embossing powder with brown color. I tapped the chipboard on the Versamark ink pad, then applied embossing powder and heated with a heat gun.

Last, I glued everything to the wood piece. To finish it up, I used a piece of twine and glued it on the back side of the wood piece.
I hope you are inspired to create a home decor with your family photo using Clear Scraps house wood shape. Thank you for stopping by today! Blessings.
