Hiya!
Tami here with you on the Clear Scraps Blog to share a fun Halloween card…
I love the colors of Halloween, especially the combo of Orange, Purple, and my favorite, Lime Green. And something I love to use on Halloween projects is googly eyes; they're fun right? This card combines both of those, with the added theme of Steampunk.
The Clear Scraps GEARS STENCIL is perfect to use on steampunk projects or cards or projects for the men in your life.
I started the card by creating the background paper to stencil over by spritzing it with a light brown shimmer spray…
Then I taped the Gears Stencil over the spritzed cardstock…
Next, working with one ink at a time and blending each into the other colors slightly, I filled in the stencil design…
Here's how the stenciled background looked when finished…
Cut a 4 X 12 piece of black cardstock for the card base, then adhere a 4 X 6 piece of black printed cardstock to the front…
Cut and adhere a 1 X 6 piece of striped cardstock and a 3 1/4 X 5 1/4 piece of the stenciled paper and adhere to card front…
I inked the sentiment stamp with the 3 ink colors and stamped on a leftover scrap of spritzed background paper…
I cut some gears out of the leftover stenciled paper, and adhered them and the sentiment to the left of the card…
THEN, it was time to add the GOOGLY EYES!
I added a chipboard embellishment to finish off the card…
Thank you for visiting the Clear Scraps Blog today; I hope you will come back soon to see what the other talented members of the design team have to share with you!
