Christmas Folio

Good morning all my crafty friends, this is Dora, and today we are going to make a simple Folio for Christmas. Here I am using the Snowflake stencil which you can find HERE. I wanted to make something that I could keep my Christmas memories, pictures, and little things I wanted to add to my journals later. I really hop you enjoy this step-by-step process. Let's get started. So, grab out your favorite Christmas papers and embellishments, along with your snowflake stencil. Here is a close up of the finished project where I used the stencil.

The first thing I have done is taken some craft cardstock (8.5 x 11), about 80lb, and scored it at 3 1/2 and again at 8 (these are for inches). Once I have them scored, I fold and crease with a bone folder.

Once that is done I choose the paper (cardstock) I would like to have for both the outside and the inside. I measure, cute, and glue them into place. You may also use double sided tape for this process as well.

This next step is pretty easy. I just used my crop-a-dile and punched a hole on the outside fold. Inserted an eyelet and with the crop-a -dile again secured it in place.  Then, I took some yard of winter colors and strung it through the hole.

With the stencil (for the outside of the folio), I placed it in the areas I wanted the snowflakes to be at, took some white paint, and went over the stencil very gently. This is to ensure that only the areas I wanted were painted and to make sure it did not move around on me. You may also use washi tape to hold down the stencil if that is easier for you.

Now, I start collecting embellishments, stickers, and papers I want to use as pockets. Along with maybe some tags as well.

Once I have everything cut, in place, and where I want it to be, I adhere them to the folio. As you can see below, I added a pocket on the bottom of each area. I also added dome die cuts, stickers, and a few tags in case I wanted to document something that happens.

Thank you so very much for joining me this morning and I hope that you had as much fun as I did creating something simple and easy for the holiday season. I hope you have a very blessed day! Be sure to check out ClearScraps and all their new goodies on the website! Until next time, think outside your box, and remember – if you don't like to color in the lines – make your own lines! Here are some close-ups of the project.
