Hello Crafty Friends!
It's Dana and I'm back to share a simple home decor project with you today! I hope you all had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year too. Now that the hustle and bustle of the holidays are over, I will have more time to craft.
For this project I'm using Clear Scraps DIY Medium Home pallet. You can find one here Click Here
I chose papers from Pink Paislee called "Auburn Lane"
Remove the label from your wooden pallet. Paint the roof and chimney using brown acrylic paint. Then paint the next two pallets with Folk art Sheepskin paint. You can buy the chalk paint Click Here.
Be sure to paint the sides and spaces between the pallet. Let dry. Once paint dries, I inked all around the wood home pallet shape.
Next I chose one of the floral patterned papers and cut one at 6 1/4 x 1 1/4 inches and a second piece at 6 1/4 x 2 1/2 inches. Ink the edges of your papers. Then adhere these to both the middle and bottom pallets.
Now I cut out one of the journaling cards "Let's gather together" and inked the edges with Distress Ink. Apply pop dots to the back of the journaling card and adhere in the center of your pallet. I fuzzy cut out a duplicate image of the same hpuse from one of the 12×12 papers. Inked the edges and applied pop dots to the back before adhering it over the top of the journaling card. On the flower boxes I added some Dazzle sticker flowers.
From the ephermera pieces I chose a sentiment "enjoy the little things" added some pop dots to the back and adhered this on the roof. I applied one of the heart stickers to the chimney and on each side of the sentiment I added a tiny gold heart sticker and a White enamel dot.
To finish my project I added a few more sticker sentiment words, glued some Prima flowers in the upper left corner of my house.
I hope you have enjoyed my project idea. I hope you are inspired to make one to display in your home.
