Clear Scraps Project Post

Hi everyone!  Laura is here today to give you a little inspiration to kick start that

 Valentine's Day crafting!!  Who wants some fun ideas to create your own cute home decor?

So cute, but super simple believe it or not!!  Just layering up some cute papers and

stickers, and it's even a great way to use up your scraps!!  The base that makes it

so easy to create these home decor pieces are the Medium DIY Pallets from

Clear Scraps.  Here I used the heart shape of course–perfect for Valentine's decor!

The Medium size pallets are a great size for home decor.  You can find the medium

pallets in shapes for everyday, or holiday or seasons in the Clear Scraps Store HERE.

There are also some larger pallets to play with, you can find those HERE in the store.

These bare wood pallets are like so many Clear Scrap products, versatile to paint,

 ink, stamp on, stencil on, whatever you'd like to do.  There are always great examples

and ideas here on the blog–just put pallet in the search function and check it out!

For this project, I covered the pallet with pretty Valentine patterned papers.  I just

traced the sections onto the paper, cut them out, glued them down, and then

started to embellish with some border pieces and ephemera pieces, layering them

in as I went.  I used foam tape to give a little extra dimension and then added

a few enamel dots.  When the project was complete, I decided I'd like the ability

 to hang it up, so I punched a couple of holes with a crop-a-dile, (a great tool when you

work with these pallets!) and then threaded a pretty pink ribbon thru to make the

hanger.  I love to embellish, so I added the twine and heart to finish it off.
