Happy February crafting friends! It's Maya on the blog today to share 3 clean and simple cards I made using the 5 x 9 Feathers Layering Stencil. The layering stencils are great for all kinds of projects to add creative designs. And I am going to show you how I used the stencil with the ink blending technique on these cards. Let's check it out!
The feathers layering stencil has two part designs with outer and inner layers.
1st Card
▼ For my first card, I decided to overlap the outer layer by blending 3 colors of Distress Oxide Ink.
▼ Next, I used a word stamp with black archival ink to finish the card.
2nd Card
▼ I decided to blend both outer and inner layers on this card with 4 different colors. I blended ink on the outer layer first.
▼ Then I overlapped the inner layer and blended the same color again. And I repeated the same process on the other 3 feathers. Last, I stamped words with "Live, Laugh, Love" by using black archival ink.
3rd Card
▼ I used 2 feathers as masks that I traced from the stencil and cut down. Then I blended 4 colors of inks around the feathers.
▼ After I done the blending, I moved the masks and traced both outer and inner layers using a uni pin fine line drawing pen.
▼ I also added extra touches by using the yellow stickles.
Thank you so much for stopping by the blog today! I hope you are inspired to create cards using the stencils. Have a wonderful February!
