Clear Scraps Project Post

Tami with you on the blog today with a new project to share with you. Valentine's Day is coming up in just over a week; so now is the perfect time to make something special for someone special or just to add to your Valentine's Day decor.

Clear Scraps has lots and lots of fun shaker designs and I enjoy trying to find ways to incorporate them in my crafting. I thought it would be nice to create a Love themed triptych using the Love Mini Shaker and the Chipboard Tag Album. I also like all things vintage and Vintage Valentines are some of my favorite ephemera to collect. I had a paper collection that included vintage valentines in the designs, so I pulled that out to use along with some glitter, glitter gel pens, flowers, ribbons and vintage trims to use on the project.

Here is what it looked like when it was all finished…

I really like Clear Scrap's Chipboard Tag Album as you can use the pieces separately to make individual tags or make something by connecting them like this triptych.

I started with the Love Shaker. I painted the top layer with a base of white pearl pigment ink, then when that dried, I added a layer of Smooch Glitz and sprinkled with a vintage-white glitter while it was still wet…

While the shaker dried, I applied a printed paper over the letters on the shaker back piece and a piece of silver foil board to the heart, then glued the other layers of the shaker on top of the back piece…

To make the triptych, I used pieces of vintage twill tape to connect the tags. The tags were spaced about 1/2" apart to allow the pieces to fold…

The fronts sides of the tags were covered with printed papers…

The Love Shaker was adhered to the center tag, then stickers (I outlined them with the Glitter Gel Pen), flowers and trims were added to embellish the triptych…
