Clear Scraps Project Post

I love to create my own home decor for just about any holiday, and Valentine's Day

is no exception!  Today I've got a fun project using a Clear Scraps Printer's Tray!

Clear Scraps has so many different Printer Tray Frames in their store!  For this project,

I chose the the Scallop Square Frame, because I liked the scallop–it reminded me of

a frilly Valentine.  If you want to check out the other options, you'll find them HERE.

These are easy to use too!  I just used one sheet of patterned paper for this particular

project, cut it to fit and glued it down on the back piece of the tray.  I painted the top

piece of the tray with black acrylic paint.   While that dried I filled up the boxes on the

tray.  What's nice is, you can make a lot of layers when you use the tray.

Here you can see how the banners are layered onto the outside of the printer tray.

I used foam tape to attach them,  and added a little twine so they'd look a little bit like

they were tied onto the frame.  It add a cute little extra touch.

It's a little harder to see, but even under the acrylic clear piece of the tray, some of the

items are flat with maybe a layer or two, and some are popped up with foam tape. 

I did this wit the flower vase, the kissing booth, one set of lips.  It gives the project

a great depth to make it more interesting.  And just a tip:  you don't HAVE to use

the acrylic layer if you aren't adding sequins, etc to create a shaker–I just like the

fact the project is more protected when you use it.
