Tami here on the blog with you today. The sun is out, the trees are starting to bud and things are beginning to "green-up".

I have some planters on my porch just waiting to be potted with new spring flowers. But I don't have the green-ist of thumbs – unless of course they have ink or paint on them 🙂

I could definitely use a little help in keeping any new plantings alive, so I thought I'd make myself a little Garden Angel…

I started with Clear Scraps' Mini Angel Pallet Shape. I white-washed it with a mix of 50% water and 50% white acrylic paint…

After the paint dried, I sanded it lightly around the edges, and a little harder on the face…

To create the hair, I adhered tiny pink paper rosebuds around the top of the head, and for her halo, some pearls on filament…

Next, small yellow flowers were added for the wings…

A few tiny white flowers were added to the hem of her skirt for trim and tiny rhinestones and pearls were added as centers to the flowers…

I printed out "Garden Angel" in green ink, leaving some spacing between the letters. The banner was then cut out letter by letter…

After adhering the letters to a piece of green twine, the banner was attached to the back of the wings…

You could add a magnet to the back of this little angel, or maybe a ribbon to tie it around a pot.

Or if you are gifting a plant or some flowers; attach her to a garden stake to place her in the pot.
