Tami here with you today on the Clear Scraps Blog.

My projects this month feature different techniques you can use with some of your Clear Scraps products. 

Most of the basic supplies are the same, so gather them up and have a play day to try them out.

Some ideas may be new to you, and some not so new, but the idea is to experiment with the techniques and maybe find a fresh way to use your supplies and Clear Scrap products.

The first project is an altered tag using one of the tags from Clear Scraps' Chipboard Tag Album and the 5 X 9 Feathers Layering Stencil…

Have you ever used modeling paste with your stencils? It is a great way to easily add dimension and texture to your project. 

The center feather in the tag was stenciled using modeling paste, then inked.

I used a page from a vintage dictionary as a background for my tag to add another layer to the project.

The layering stencils from Clear Scraps have a base image, then detail to add on top. You can also use each portion separately.

You can use modeling paste to add stenciled designs to Clear Scraps' Wood and Acrylic products too.

You can paint or ink the paste after it dries, or try mixing in a paint or ink before applying the paste.

This altered tag would make a nice gift; slip it in a mailing envelope and send it via old fashioned snail mail.
