Hi all!! Laura is here to share some inspiration with you today! Love creating LO's using
the Clear Scraps Mini Shakers! There's something for everyone in the store and what's
better for scrapping road trip photos than the Camera Mini Shaker?!!
This is a LO with a couple of pictures from an impromptu road trip to see the American
Pickers, and we stumbled onto a filming day! The camera shaker is such a cute
addition to this LO isn't it? These shakers are easy to use too. Just trace the shape
onto a patterned paper (or paint it, ink, it, whatever you'd like to do). I used paper,
glued it on, then you glue down the frame pieces one by one. There are 2 plain cardboard
frames you glue onto the paper layer, then add your sequins or whatever filler you'd like,
then glue down the acrylic layer (make sure you take off the protective coating on both
sides!!) and then lastly, glue down the top frame piece. I painted the frame piece with
black acrylic paint for this particular project, but again, you can use whatever you'd like,
you can even add some sparkle with glitter glue, or metallic rubbing paste.
This camera is one of many of the Mini Shakers in the Clear Scraps store.
You can find them all on the website right HERE.
The words "road trip" that are attached to the camera shaker are also
an embellishment available from Clear Scraps. Another item with so
many choices for all of your projects! You can find them all HERE.
I wanted to give it the distressed "vibe" since we were looking at antiques and such, so
the words were painted black, and then I went back over with aqua paint, dabbing it
on with a sponge to create that grungy look. When it was dry, I glued it to the camera.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Stop back soon for more inspiration!
