Hello and happy Monday! It's Jennifer to share one of the new Slimline Albums and Mini Shaker Shapes! There are five different designs that come in chipboard, acrylic, and wood! For my project, I used the Regular Wood Slimline Album which measures 5×11 inches!
I used white acrylic paint on the front cover of my album as well as painted the inside edges of each page.
Using the 4×6 Quarterfoil Stencil and Distress Oxides, I blended my two colors onto the wood cover.
Here is a close up of the end result!
For the main focus of my cover, I used the new Suitcase Mini Shaker. I covered the base chipboard with patterned paper and smoothed the edges using a sanding tool.
I then painted the top chipboard frame and inside edges of the two middle frames with chalk paint in light blue. Once my middle frames were adhered, I placed sequins in the center of my shaker before affixing the acrylic piece.
And here is a close up of the shaker! I adhered my shaker to the front of the album using Beacon 3-in-1 Adhesive. It's best to use a solvent based liquid adhesive as it will not warp your wood or acrylic.
Each Slimline Album comes with five pages; for my project I covered each page with patterned paper before adhering my photos.
I added extra pages by inserting tags from the Acrylic Tag album. This is a great way to add additional photos or journaling!
