The papers I'm using for my layout are from Simple stories Summer Farmhouse.

To begin we will start working on our shaker. Remove pieces from the package. I took one of the journaling cards from this collection, to use for my shaker background. Trace around your bottom shaker piece with a pencil. Cut out your image and using Beacon 3 in 1 glue, adhere the paper to your bottom shaker base. Then take x-acto knife trim around your shaker shape. Distress your edges till smooth and even. Set aside.

Next I took some red acrylic paint and painted the top piece of my shaker and around all the sides of my other shaker pieces. Let dry. Then I  took a piece of paper resembling wood and glued to the bottom handle of my top shaker piece. Trim and distress edges as you did previously. Now you're ready to glue your shaker pieces together. After gluing the first 2 pieces, you can carefully add any shaker filler elements in the center.  I'm using just one of the many shaker fillers available from Clear Scraps. Click Here to see them all. Then before gluing the acrylic piece, make sure to peel off the protective film on both sides. Then lastly, glue on your top piece. Do not shake or move your shaker until it's throughly dry.

Next we are ready to make our scrapbook page. I chose a background paper from the collection and a photo. I fussy cut out some banner flags, and the I love Summer heart. I chose some clouds and a sun from the empherma pack. I always like to play around with the placement of my embellishments before gluing them onto my page. I took some twine and adhered my banner flags on top.

I matted my photo onto white cardstock, and acouple of coordinating papers from this collection. Then added some foam squares to the back of my photo mat before adhering to my scrapbook layout to give it more dimension. I added some foam dots to the I love Summer heart and adhered it onto the upper right corner of my photo. I adhered a crystal heart gem on the tab above my photo. Then finished adding a few colored enamel dots on the bottom right corner of the photo mat.

I glued my shaker popsicle to the left of my photo. I added a few sentiment stickers to my bottom left corner of my layout.
