Clear Scraps Project Post

Hello friends! It's Jennifer here on the blog today to share a fun home project I created using the Mouse Medium DIY Pallet Shape along with a couple Clear Scraps products! And I'm going to show you the techniques I used so you can hopefully feel inspired to do some Clear Scraps crafting of your own!

I began by painting the front of my pallet with acrylic paint in black. I also used the same paint to color the Mouse 2 Chipboard Embellishment Shapes.  I then set aside both to dry. 

I measured out a strip of patterned paper to adhere to the middle slat of my pallet. For this particular section, I cut 2 3/4 x 10 inches then used an x-acto knife to trim the edges.  After, I lightly sanded to smooth any paper overhangs. 

Next, using my 4×6 Stars Stencil I used a spatula to apply metallic embellishment mousse to the bottom and top slats of the pallet.  The color is almost a gun metal grey and looks nice in contrast against the black. 

After ensuring my paint was dry on the chipboard embellishments, I applied embossing ink to each followed by black glitter embossing powder.  Each were set with a heat gun and adhered using my Beacon 3-in-1 Adhesive.

Last, I punched holes at the top sides of the pallet to string some fun chevron red/white ribbon to be able to hang my creation!
