Hello everyone! Jennifer here back on the blog to share another mini album with you! Next to layouts, using Clear Scraps Mini Albums are my favorite to create with! Using the Acrylic Circle Scallop Mini Album and colorful alcohol inks I put together a book to document some of my favorite summer 2021 photos! Each page bears a different design of scallops which cascade into larger sizes!
For my front cover, I used the 4×6 Sunrise Stencil along with alcohol ink in yellow. I secured my stencil to the front with washi tape and lightly dabbed the ink onto the surface. It helps to remove the protective film from only the front as you work.
I tend to leave my acrylic "bare" and not add any extra color besides patterned paper. But for this project, I added drops of alcohol ink to the surface of each page focusing around the edges.
I tried to use a different color combination for each page and also didn't worry about it being perfect as I knew I'd be covering some of the page with paper.
Since the album measures 3×8 inches, I plan on using wallet sized photos. Here, I affixed a white cardstock mat for where my picture will go.
I then added small embellishments such as die cuts, stickers, and enamel dots. I did not want to overwhelm my pages with too many elements.
I used pop dots to give dimension to a few of my embellishments to create more layers.
Here, I used foam tape to "pop up" my photo mat as well as affixed bakers twine around the bottom.
Lastly, I added my own chrome book rings to put together my album. I then tied some yellow seam binding ribbon to the top ring to accent my book!
