Happy Friday! It's Maya here on the blog today to share a special home decor piece featuring the wood rectangle. I used the elements from some old cards that were created by mom-in-law and turned them into a wall hanging project. My husband's aunt received theses cards from my mom-in-law and kept them for decades. She wanted to turn them into a home decor piece, so here it is!
▼ I started by painting the rectangle wood shape with cream yellow acrylic paint along with a paint brush. After the first coat was dry, I give it another coat of paint. Then I used a ruler and a pencil to draw out four frames.
▼ Here I adhered twine pieces to the wood shape using tacky glue by following the line I drew.
▼ These are part of the cards I picked up to use on this project that were created by my mom-in-law years and years ago. I removed the elements from these cards and planed to assemble them on the wood shape. The idea was to create a wall hanging with four seasons.
