Clear Scraps Mini Shaker–Summer Days LO

Hey everyone! It's Laura here with you today to share a summer fun LO!

Scrapping family vacay pictures is one of my favorite things to do! How about you?

It's fun to add "special little touches" to a LO to really give it an extra "WOW" factor, and

Clear Scraps Mini Shakers really do that! For this LO I used the Flip Flops Mini Shaker.

The frame of the flip flops was painted using blue and aqua acrylic paints. To get the

straps painted, I go in with a fine tip brush to give it a super clean line. I added a little

enamel dot to dress up the flip flops. You could also use some bling, or a little flower.

So fun to play with different ideas! The solid back of the flip flops was traced onto

coordinating patterned paper, then cut out and glued on. Then I glued all the layers

together. Remember that the acrylic piece has 2 layers of protective plastic so it stays

nice and scratch free! Remove both when you glue it in place!

Remember to add whatever pretty sequins or bling you'd like to the inside of your shaker!

That's what gives a pretty sparkle and shine to your project! Love these flip flops!

To create the title for this page, I added a fun element using Clear Scraps chipboard.

The ampersand is from the @ # chipboard embellishment set and I just went in and

layered the other letters on and around it. It's a fun touch to get creative with your titles

instead of the same old thing. I used aqua acrylic paint on this, but you can stamp, or use

spray ink, or layer different paints, brush with ink, a lot of options with these pieces, and a
