I am so excited to be guest designing! I have always loved creating off the page, from all things paper, to refurbishing. In this instance an adorable wooden frame! I love the versatility of these frames! Here is a quick walkthrough on how how I decorated this Family Desktop Wood Frame!
I started out with Shimmerz Paints, and painted all the pieces with my favorite fall colors. Once that has completely dried I used stencils and different Nuvo embellishment mousse. For the bottom piece, I used the standard mousse in Copper through a picture paint stencil, the next piece a leaf stencil and the Expanding mousse. Using a heat gun to make it 3-D. The top piece I used a red VB Art crayon, Nuvo crackle mousse and the same leaf stencil, allowing it dry completely giving the leaves a very cool crackle effect!
To protect my photo, I added some acetate, I also used some foam tape on 3 sides, this allows me to switch out the photo, and protecting them for later layouts. I get fall photos every year, so being able to switch out the photo was important for me.
For some decorations I added some flowers and leaves from Prima, some wood veneer pumpkins I found at a dollar store, coloring them with Nuvo Glitter pens, some acrylic hearts, and my favorite embellishment ever, Sequins.
I had so much fun creating this frame. Super easy and it turned out stunning. I can’t wait to share my next project with you!
