Boo Ghost 3D Frameable

Hello friends! Halloween is almost here and today I'm sharing one of the new 3D Frameables that were released this year! If you haven't had a chance to create with these fun home decor pieces you must try them!  There are many different combinations of frames + Words N Shapes  you can pair together!   For today's project I used the Boo-Ghost Word N Shape along with the Scallop Frame with Base.

I began by covering my Scallop Frame and the smaller oval of the base with patterned paper.  I adhered my paper using Beacon 3-in-1 Adhesive then trimmed excess away with an x-acto knife and a sanding tool.

I painted the base of the frame and the larger bottom base oval in orange chalk paint and set them aside to dry.

Using the Boo-Ghost Word N Shape, I painted each with white and orange acrylic paint as shown.

While both were drying, I used my Beacon Adhesive to adhere my two base pieces together.  Ensure your slots line up prior to applying your adhesive.

I trimmed a photo to fit my frame and adhered the Scallop to the base as shown.  It helps to use clips to hold the pieces together as they dry.

I wanted to give my ghost some sparkle so I added embossing ink followed by sparkle embossing powder. I then set with a heat tool.

For my Boo Word, I used orange embossing powder on the bottom third.

Here is a close up of the end result. I added a small tie of Halloween colored bakers twine to the end for accent.

It was difficult to capture the sparkle on the ghost but the embossing powder did give it some texture!

I  added die cuts from the collection I used to the edges of the frame to accent. I didn't want to overwhelm the piece since I used a busy print.
