Clear Scraps Project Post

Hi there everyone!  Laura with you today to get those creative

juices flowing in the New Year with a little mixed media album!

The perfect starting point for a great mixed media album is a

Slimline Album from Clear Scraps!  You can choose chipboard,

(this one is the Chip TAB Slimline), or acrylic or wood.

To create the distressed look on this project cover, I

 started with a wash of distress paint in a soft green color.

Next step was to frame out the front cover a bit.

Bronze distress stain was brushed directly onto the edges.

The back cover got the same treatment.  To add to the

distressed appearance, a layer of Walnut Stain ink was applied.

I used a sponge applicator and brushed the entire surface and

heavily all around the edges.  Some black distress spray was

spattered on the surface, and blotted to keep the look soft.

The cover was embellished with some stamped gear images,

metal pieces, and the gorgeous clock face.  That one is the

Roman Clock Chipboard Embellishment from Clear Scraps.

It got the same treatment as the cover, just a little heavier

on the bronze color to give it that patina metal look.

On the right side, it's a simple piece of cardstock cut to size, then

folded in half.  Love to add inserts to these albums!  And there's

a little something hiding behind that…

This page is just something to look pretty in between.

Of course you could always add a pic or a journal card!

I included some lined cards on this page to add thoughts or

prayer requests.  Can also add a page or two of lined paper

in here later as my lists for the year grow.

A fun section to add ideas and thoughts for new projects!

The final section is one to add thoughts on improvement,

health, volunteer opportunities, etc.
